Modem now available to own with telephone capabilities

There is now a modem which is exactly the same as the popular one that optimum rents to us for $10 a month. Optimum uses the Arris TM822 Modem. The replacement is Arris TM822R which is the same. I now use it and I verified with optimum. Unlike before the price right now is very reasonable which I guess will be while supplies last. The price on Amazon is $84.50 plus tax = $91.79

If you buy it it pays for itself in 10 months and then your saving $10 a month

1. One you receive it it is very simple to connect. Transfer the wires exactly as they are on the old one. (Coaxial cable, telephone line, router line usually yellow and the power cord)
2. You will need to call optimum and have them activate the modem which takes less than 10 minutes ( you can’t use home phone since it needs the modem so you will need a cell phone or someone with one)
3. Once done everything should be working
4. Return the optimum modem to the optimum store in Riverhead so they remove it from your account
