A Night at the Races May 15,2015
And they’re Off!! As the trumpet blew, the horses ran along the track on a Friday night in Foxwood. The voice of Pete Mosia could be heard loudly calling out the race. AS the jockeys made their way around the track let by Micky Coppola, Dianne Capobianco, Eileen Moylan and MaryLee Feldman; fans placed their bets with The Para Mutual takers Janet Bernardo and Bill Heiberger. All hope for a big payoff from the cashier Dom Capobianco.
A few late running horses needed some encouragement as one fan Tom VanRiper tried to pry them along with some alcohol. He was quickly escorted back to his seat by the race judges.
After 4 races there was a break for Coffee and pastries before resuming. Everyone seemed to have an enjoyable evening.
Tree planted in the memory of John Trimore
Our thanks go out to Bill Ingrassia who had a tree planted outside the Clubhouse near the entrance of the pool. As most know John passed away recently at the age of 95. John was Foxwood Village. He was a former HOA president, worked on many of the committee’s but mostly will be remembered for his witty charm and overall good nature. John was always a bright spot in one’s day if you happened to meet up with him by the tree across from his house or at one of the many events he attended. John will be missed but thanks to Bill we have something to remember him by. As the tree blooms so should the spirit of our community.

Sr. Patricks Day 2015
The 2015 St. Patricks Day Party was a success. All who came were treated to a tasty meal of Lean Corned Beef, Cabbage and Potatoes, Rolls, Cupcakes, some Soda Bread and a wide variety of Dance Tunes to the music of Jerry, the DJ.
After Dinner the guests enjoyed the dancing by the annual participants from a local Irish step dancing school. They also generously donated over $200 to help them in their many competitions.

A special thanks to Past President Marylee Feldman and Eileen Moylan for organizing a wonderful event for the residents and a nice way to kick off Valentine’s Day.
