The Ladies Tea was held here at Foxwood on September 29, 2016

The dinner was held in the clubhouse with a catered dinner of Chicken Francais with Rigatoni ala Vodka and Salad.

Dinner was followed by an awards ceremony for the first, second and third place teams.

Afterwards dessert was served.

Joe Spano presented a certificate of Appreciation to Carlo and Angela for chairing Bocce this season

The annual Feast was held on Monday at the Clubhouse. There was a fine array of Italian Foods that our residents dreamed up, prepared and served.  We were treated to songs and singing by the Italian chorus led by our own Maestro Bill Fortunato.

Dessert consisted of Italian favorites of Homemade Cannolis, Italian cookies, Italian cheesecake, and so much more and each table got to enjoy freshly made Zeppolis and deep fried Oreo’s.

A wonderful evening was had by all.

This Garden was created for the benefit of the Foxwood Community and dedicated to the memory of Arline and Larry’s daughter in law who passed away from cancer on January 31, 2016.

 

Another successful community event!

This years Labor Day Party as in the majority of the Labor Day Events had to be held inside due to the weather. The overcast and winds did not dampen the spirits. The Rec Committee served up an assortment of Hero Sandwiches including Chicken, Roast Beef and Veggie along with a variety of salads.  There was a drawing and because of some good salesmanship, two lucky families went home with $125.00 each. A table by table trivia contest was held before serving up sweet watermelon and tasty Klondike Bars. It seemed that everyone had an enjoyable day.

On August 15th, Foxwood Held an ice cream social at the Clubhouse. There was a festive serving table with assorted ice cream and a full toppings bar (Not Pictured). Here are some pictures from the event. 

The 2016 4th of July BBQ.

The food was from Greek Island Diner. Janet Bernardo and Bill Heiberger Chaired the Event.

After eating the Hot Dogs, Burgers, Chicken, Sausage and Peppers with all the trimmings, It was time to play some games. Game 1 was where 2 teams competed to see which could set up for a day at the Beach the fastest.

Of course with the beautiful sunny day, the pool was a great place to relax after eating.

In Game 2, couples were paired and the ladies were blindfolded. They tried to identify their partner by feeling their legs. Some interesting results were obtained.

The “Chiclettes” led of the Friday Concert Series at Grangebel Park.
