Information on the new food waste plant

This proposed project directly affects the residents of Calverton. Apparently there is a looming deadline according to the article and the Riverhead Town Board has indicated it plans to move forward with it at it’s 6pm  Wednesday, Feb 20, 2019; in less than 3 days.
The civic has a few other topics that I need to catch you up on, yet, I felt this surprising news needed to be gotten out ASAP to our civic and neighbors.
A general meeting of the civic is currently in the works. We are days/a week+ away from solidifying a date that works. Any input is helpful.
Please consider attending The Town Hall meeting at 200 Howell Avenue 6pm this Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019. The written letters sent to the civic email will be read into the record.
When we join together as a community is when we have the loudest voice. Then and only then will our elected politicians listen. Do not sit back and do nothing.

Passing of Andrew Alfano

With Deepest Regrets we must share the passing of Andrew E. Alfano in House #  277

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home at 13805 Main St. in Mattituck.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning, December 27th at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.

The passing of Joseph Hauer

We Regret to inform you that Joseph Hauer in House # 212 has passed away. Services will be held at the Alexander Rothwell Funeral Home at 6447 Rte 25A in Wading River on Wednesday Nov. 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday , Nov. 15th at at St. John the Baptist Church at 1488 N. Country Rd in Wading River at 10 AM.

Passing of Emilio ” Buddy” Andreotta

It is with deep regret that we must inform you on the passing of our most beloved resident Emilio “Buddy” Andreotta. All who knew Buddy  will miss his whit and good humor.

A funeral Mass will be said on Monday October 29th at St. Isidore’s RC Church at 9:30 AM.

Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
