We took the first step but we can’t let up

Now that the Planning Board approved the Moratorium, it must be finalized by the Town Board. It appears the Town Supervisor is not pleased with the Moratorium. WE must continue the war and not rest on the win in the current battle. We must make sure the Town Board knows we want the Resolution approved. We can send emails, letters, call. We must attend the board meetings and let them know we are not joking around. If you would like to write or email the Town Council; I have attached the emails for the Town Council. You can do it as one email including all their email addresses on one line.

Let them know that we want this approved. Let them know that we don’t want them using the warehouses as their way to bail out their debacle over the EPCAL deal. We cant let them ruin the ecology. Displace more of the animals, effect our water supply, sewerage and the loss of oxegyn by cutting more trees.

Planning Board closed hearing to allow more community imput

The Riverhead planning board will accept people comments regarding the proposed warehouse on Middle Rd. The builder wants to build it 50′ high which is 20′ higher than currently permitted. In addition the overall community wants their application turned down. We must speak up. You can email the members of the board using the attached link. Click on any name under CONTACTS to send an email. You can also write to them at the address in the link.

Do we need a warehouse in our residential community

There have been rumors floating for a while where the proposed warehouse was going to be built in our neighborhood. Many thought it was goinf to be located in the big holes being dug of Manor Road. However those holes are for the Cement co. Mining for sand. The location for the new wharehouse will be on Middle Road at the head of Manor. The 641,000 sq ft building will back up toward our complex. Maybe before construction begins, residents might want to take a moment to call or write their representitives in the Town and voice their opinions. Many of these representitives are voted in year after year and forget who they are suppossed to represent. Who forgets the sell out where Costco resides when they were permitted to clear cut the entire wooded area for sand to build with and the fallout we were left with. If we don’t speak up now before they break ground; when there is heavy truck traffic and noise coming form that beautiful route along the back road, it will be too late later.
