It is with deep regret that I must announce the death of Bernie Tannenbaum from house #236. Bernie had been a long time resident of Foxwood. He had been an active member of the recreation committee for many years. Bernie participated in many community activities like Bocce and Trips; he spent many a summer at the pool. Bernie will be missed in our community.
Bernie will be waked at the OB Davis Funeral Home on Rote 25A in Miller Place on Monday April 10th from 2-5 and 7-9 PM. On Tuesday , April 11th there will be a service at the Funeral Home at 10AM which we be followed by a burial at Calverton National Cemetery.

Several of our residents have fell victim to computer scams.
If you get a pop up on the web and it might freeze the screen It will claim something like: WARNING, your computer may be infected. Call a toll free number at Microsoft. You wont get a call from Microsoft. They aren’t monitoring your computer.
If frozen, hit together :CTRL + ALT + Delete and click on task manager. Locate Google or Microsoft edge and end task. Problem solved.
DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER or let them access your Computer!!!!!
The same applies if you got a call from Anti- Virus company. They shouldn’t call you unless you pay for a monitoring service. Again don’t let them access your computer.
If you feel there may be a problem, run your anti virus program on FULL SCAM!! If still unsure contact a TECH Support Agent.
If your computer is running slow
The problem is generally due to not clearing Browsing History (COOKIES)
Do do it on Google (Edge very similar) follow steps below for easiest way:
GOOGLE Click on 3 dots on right side of Google home page or your home page
Click on History
Click again on History which will bring History page above in Blue.
On left side click on clear browsing history
When next page comes up: change obliterate browsing history to delete from beginning of time
And click on clear browsing history

If you use a pc or any computer, tablet, smartphone that uses the GOOGLE APP (which I highly recommend) there is a new feature you may be unaware of.
Websites that require users to use passwords for access or transact money using credit or debit cards for buying or selling are supposed to have an SSL certificate. This certificate promises that their site is safe to use.
How do you know if one of these types of sites are secure? You look on the search bar that you typed to find the site you are looking for. In the left side before the site name or HTTP:/ or www. there should be a padlock indicating secure. If it is a “i with a circle around it it is not secure”

You will also note that sites like ours is also not marked secure. SSL Certificates cost as they are Licenses and must be renewed. Since we have no secure information be transferred or money being collected; we do not need a SSL Certificate. There are many such sites like this. Sites that need them but don’t have one; you can still look for ideas to buy from but be careful before entering any secure data.
Examples of sites that have sensitive data and should be secure: Any Doctor, Hospital, pharmacy, online retail, charity,Insurance, Bank, schools, Churches,credit cards,investments,social security, IRS,all tax prep companies, cell phone co., cable co. and the list can go on.

Lynda was a brave and courageous woman who in the face of this terrible adversity managed to continue to fight and spread happiness when she was out in public.
